Newer games like Final fight or Streets of rage...

Anyone know any games in the style of Final fight or Streets of Rage, but newer, with better graphics?
I really want a nice side scrolling beat em up with newer grapics. One where 1-4 people can all pick a character and play with in the same screen beating up waves of enemies as we walk along.
Imagine Final fight with SF4 graphics or something similar.. or a mortal combat stlye..

Any suggestions.. it does not have to be strictly sidescrolling. ..feel free to add your input.
