Is HALO any good?

A friend of mein suggested me to play Halo and I'm wondering if it's actually any good.

Its a brilliant franchise, but only if you like sci-fi and you own an xbox one for the 'best' experience

The original Bungie series, definably yes. The newer 343 series though? Skip them. Halo Reach is the last Halo game to me.

I also recommend getting the original Halo (Halo: CE) on the PC, as it still has a slightly active community. Just remember that you need a special update that was released in like 2012 for Halo: CE which allows the online servers to be connected to Bungie's own site, instead of via GameSpy (GameSpy is no longer a thing).

Halo is one of the few FPSs that has a great single player experience, a great co-op, and a great multiplayer experience.

Halo 1 is very good an fairly simple to get a hold of a working copy for pc

Halo 2 is also very fun but it's a lot more rare, and its hard to get it working on a modern pc

Also keep in mind that they are both old games and the graphics aren't on par with modern games

So..Get Halo 1 for PC
And Halo 2 probably just get it on Xbox 360

I don't own an xb1 so I haven't had a chance to play halo 5 yet

Yea that's your best bet... But that seems like kind of a hassle just to play one game

Yes, if you are a fan of FPS and sci-fi, then you owe it to yourself to play Combat Evolved.
It's a solid game.

Get it on Windows so you aren't stuck playing at 30 fps or less!

There should be a free demo you can download and play at archive.org. That will atleast let you know if you'll even like them

I would suggest to play all the Halos all the way up to reach. I loved to play those games when i was younger and i still do. But still, i would still suggest halo 4 since it's still true to what a Halo game should be and it's a little different but i stopped playing the game real early. But i wouldn't even recommend Halo 5. I played the campaign on legendary and i beat it easily and i just didn't have a fun time doing it. Some thing's in the game get awefully repetitive than what i expected it to be. The multiplayer i played for about 3 hours and i was just fed up with the new system and the microtransactions, and that was probably the earliest game that i have quit so early in a triple A( maybe).

Halo 5's campain feels generic FPS, The muliplayer after the recent update feels more like halo though with "select player prefrence" thing, And its quite fun, Olny bad thing is the generic rocket launcher and not the old on :/

I went through Halo 1-3, ODST, Reach, Halo Wars, Spartan Series. Halo 4 was the nail in the coffin, but it was a great series till it got old.
