Reviewing World War Z
As getting reviews from real consumers is important, I will be reviewing the Epic Game Store Exclusive, World War Z. Especially since they havn't released a review section.

Tomorrow, 4/16/2019, World War Z releases Exclusively on Epic Game Store based on the Paramount film World War Z.

First off, I am SCARED this game will end up like evolve, boring, slow, and dead. For a $35 prepurchase, I am investing a lot of money on something that might not give back.

The game is based off the film World War Z and is like Left 4 Dead except with bigger and more intense hordes.

Anyways, I will be posting a review soon as to how this game runs, looks, plays, and more. I don't want other consumers losing money to this company, so I will be taking the risk.

Trash movie has a trash game. Color me surprised :lunar2019piginablanket:

The books is supposed to be really good and the movie messed up the adaptation. I thought the movie was a ok zombie flick.

I have watched a lot gameplay clips and i still feel lik3 the game would get boring in a day or two. It has two things that bothers me the most.

1. Shooting looks like you're shooting through holograms. Theres no satisfying ragdoll effects, they just fall down by shooting couple of bullets to the leg and die. Zombie movements also look bad.

2. Have yet to see any real gameplay variations, like vehicle moments, bosses, or anything like that. Just shooting at hundreds of zombies.

If its just 6-10 hours of that same old, move and kill, camp/ defend and kill, rush and kill it will be pretty boring game, considering issues i mentioned above. Also, is there any random aspects with level design or will you be going the exact same areas everytime?

There are random aspects, things that you should pick during different episodes swap places every time you play. About ragdoll effects, special zombies does have them, it's true that shooting the hordes doesn't show much impact, but you have to take on account that there's a lot o zombies on screen, if they were hard to kill, you wouldn't have a chance. Maybe on very hard difficulty they are tougher, dunno. To me the game looks fun, for how long, i don't know.

Yeah i know it would make the game much harder, if zombies took more ammo to kill, but to me all that game has going is the wow effect of hordes. Killing those zombies just look very unsatisfying.

Not the slightest bit interested in a review of an Epic exclusive game.

Well thank you for caring enough to comment about it. Where there is anger, look for pain.

First off you aren't "investing" anything. You aren't getting money back in the long run. I don't understand why so many PC gamers treat purchases like they have just bought some stocks or a GIC. Please read the definition of invest. Also $35 dollars isn't a lot of money, if you can afford a PC, you can pretty much afford any game on PC. Are you poor? If you are then don't get this game, simple as that. Also G2A is selling it for cheaper if you find the price too "risky".

Here's my short review of it since I have 10 hours of it total:

The game is VERY optimized, so anyone running a decent system can run this game at a 60fps. So OP if you have a PC that performs similar to a r5 2400g then you are in the clear.

Probably one of the best games I have played on PC to date because it runs so well and its fun to play, which is the sole point of video games. The movements are cinamaticly thrilling, though the zombies become kinda like bullet sponges which does suck.

I can't really review the campaign because I haven't finished the game yet.

The price is fair because games used to cost $59.99 CDN in Canada and now its $80 which is why I don't pay full price for them.

I've just now had a very quick look on youtube at what it's like, having previously seen and heard nothing about it. It just looks as if someone made a zombie mod for The Division.

35 dollars is 35 dollars. And an investment is putting money into something that will give back, be that money, entertainment, or other. If i took 35$ from your paycheck every week youd be mad if I didnt give you something worth it back.
