Would you date a smoker?
Would you date a smoker? Have you dated a smoker before? Did you find them less attractive because of it?

Would you date someone who smokes weed?
Why, yes.

That would imply that smoking and being narrow-minded are contradictory, and that's not true. There are plenty of narrow-minded ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ smokers out there.
Stop avoiding the straight foward question.

No

So you guys are telling me you would dismiss a beautiful woman who is interested in you because she smokes?
Yeah ok....
I said what I said.
"as long as she tolerates me not smoking..."
"open-minded smokers..." (i guess idealizing "open-mindedness" while being zero-% critical is a cool dogma, too)
"you guys are telling me you would dismiss a beautiful woman who is interested in you because she smokes..."

kek. what a thread.

Stop avoiding the straight foward question.

That's anything but a straight forward question, it implies an either/or that doesn't correlate.

The only avoiding is trying to imply there has to be one or the other and not both by loading the question in favor of smoking.

So, I actually wonder.

What's more of a deal-breaker to people. Smoking, or being a narrow-minded ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥?

(No, this is not an attempt at a rhetoric trap - I'm genuinely interested which trait would be "worse" to the OT dwellers)
Smoking deteriorates your health, only narrow-minded fools will do that
I don't think you understand why people smoke.

Only if they share.

Not really, no. They're two separate, independent traits.

Let me ask you this way then: You meet a narrow-minded ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ smoker. Or a smoker which is also a narrow-minded ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Potato, tomato.

Which of these two traits is the one you're going to tell them "♥♥♥♥ off" for first? Even if it's in the same sentence. Which one are you going to mention first? Are you going to say "You're an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, and you smoke, so sod off", or are you going to say "You smoke, and you're an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, so sod off"?

That "unloaded" enough for you?

It doesn't imply anything.
I'll elaborate on my original answer by saying that it'd be hypocritical of me to harshly judge anyone for smoking when I don't take good care of my own health, even if I don't smoke.
I personally wouldn’t

It indeed doesn't, no. It's funny how people assume nefarious shady motives on my part when I specifically stated that there weren't any, too. (So, I basically gave people free lease to call me a liar in case I started acting in nefarious and shady ways anyway)

World of difference between an indoor smoker and an outdoor, or smoking 10 a day vs 40, so it would very much come down to the effects that their habit had on them rather than the habit itself.
Only instance it would be an issue on its own would be if they couldn't give up for pregnancy and parenthood., but thats kind of a hard issue to broach on a first date.

I'll do you one better: Would you date someone who smokes *and* grows weed?

:steamfacepalm:

First you say "two separate, independent traits" then say "Potato, tomato" which is used when someone feels that the same thing is being referred to using different words. Keep talking in circles if you think your being clever putting emphasis on synonyms.

I'd just tell them to "sod off"....
