I think games like Thief: the Dark Project and Thief: The Metal Age encapsulate the scale of the graphics well (and with some modern updates to the games look really nice) or something like Wreckfest or BeamNG.drive really do the job well but of course on the scale and magnitude of reality where atom collide together we would need a supercomputer to make that a possibility for us to play games on.
Still out of the question but hopeful dreaming and imagination make dreams actually come true, I think.
Alien VS Predator had a great one where you can spike targets to walls similar to Half-Life 2.
Decent ragdoll physics would be rockstar games they have nice fall down mechanics but once they’re in the floor they’re not very reactive.
The best ragdoll physics would be dying light 1 super realistic and incredibly responsive I don’t know how physics could possibly get better than that every game I play I’m now disappointed lol because the physics just aren’t as good as dying light.
This whole discussion should only be filled with 1 answer and that is max payne 3. Why is that so you might ask. Well play the damn game then you know.
But we still have further to go to capture the realism of Rosie and Jim.

How the Hell do they make those rag-dolls move like that?? Black magic!
Bulletstorm. The whole game is abusing physics, but with a little effort you can overload the engine. And watch out bubba, cause stuff gets WEIRD.
2 lost it a bit
Another answer is left 4 dead 2, which has an impressive mix of mocap and physics that makes a very satisfying ragdoll/gib reaction
