I mean I was thinking about becoming a youtuber since i'm a really good commentater but then I throught of being a cop since I have good leadership and how I already know a lot of protocalls.

I suggest becoming a hiphopper/rapper or pseudo-celebrity instead. Just one sextape or crappy sexually suggestive song is all you need to live in a gated mansion in hollyweird nowadays. Don't join the army or serve the state. No one will thank you for becoming an invalid for serving your country or taking a bullet from a common street thug.

Nicki Minaj and Kim Kardashian aren't shooting random black guys for merely existing or droning Pakistanis, so I think they have the advantage here.

Physical stores will most likley be gone in few years. Would not try to build a career there.

A job a gamer can get is a job any average person can get.
But if you want a really good job, McDonalds is the way to go.

So you want to doom this future video game superstar to an eternity of flipping burgers? How would he be able to refine his skills, to home his reflexes, make connections, and demonstrate his skills to the public? This man might even be the next Pewdiepie!

Everyone knows you're supposed to start at Gamestop. You can't beat that employee discount.

(Seriously OP, the actual video game industry is absolutely soulcrushing and your chances of Youtube stardom are so small that they're almost statistically insignificant. If you want to make something other than Angry Birds/Candy Crush clones or shovelware, just learn programming or get something like RPGMaker. You probably won't be Sid Meier or based Gaben and you might have to make it a hobby, but at least you'll still love yourself.)
Yes. Who cares, and Pewds makes a living off of screaming like a little girl. If he wants to do that, be my guest.

Gamestop? Either way hes going to make minimum wage.

Sorry but on YT, personality matters more than skill or quality.

Well. You could get lots of jobs in gaming. Critic, Dev and Youtuber (if lucky)
Fork_Q2 2014 年 9 月 1 日 上午 10:01
Video game critic is probably the only job in the world where listing playing video games on a CV could actually help.
Eludium 2014 年 9 月 1 日 下午 12:19
Indeed, tester.

Because it takes skill. It is a work of art.

Not simply screaming at the top of one's voice like a girl playing video games.

So all Youtubers = PewDiePie in your view? Are you also saying that playing games takes no skill?

Believe it or not, to be a successful Youtuber you actually have to have some comedic or intelligent commentary. Whether you find him humorous or not, a lot of people found PewDiePie funny, shared it with everyone, and he became hugely famous.

If gaming wasn't something that took skill (such as the aforementioned careers), then why are eSports so popular?

Keep in mind, I'm also including non-gaming channels as YouTubers, such as Jacksfilms and Smosh.

Actually PewDiePie became famous cause he exploited. There was an exploit a while ago that could make your videos appear on the front page but not many people knew about it. Not to mention the dodgy bots he's used in the past.

Could you substantiate that claim? I'm sure there's stuff about how it's done on the internet, but anything relating to PDP specifically? Because you made that very same claim about others before, including TB, if I'm not mistaken.

It's been quite a while since I've read about so I can't get any links but you should be able to find plenty by looking on Google. Unfortunately most ultra popular YouTuber's have done stuff like that to get where they are today. I'm in the top 1% of subscribed channels and I've never used any exploits, you just have to be yourself and people will like you for you are

Googling any mix or variations of "pewdiepie totalbiscuit youtube frontpage exploitation exploit" returned nothing of note or anything resembling your claim.

I don't really follow the ins and outs of YouTube, I'm not sure what is meant when you say you're in the "top 1% of subscribed channels". Your YT channel from your Steam Profile seems to have ~8K of subscribers, looking at SocialBlade, that's nowhere near to being in the top 100 of UK channels alone, by a factor of nearly 100.

Thats if you take into consideration when all youtube accounts were counted as channels.
