Tom Hanks is an excellent actor, they are all good. the only movie he was in that i dont like is Polar Express. and that wasnt because of the acting, just the whole uncanny valley thing.

yeah i agree. Polar Express wasn't really a good movie for me.

First off does the actor make the story or the story make the actor?

While green mile is a great story i do feel its strength of story is such that it still would have been no matter who took that particular role.

Where i think Tom hanks trully shone through and made it his own was in the following 3

A: Saving Private Ryan
B: Road to Perdition
C: Forest Gump
