PC gaming from my couch.
So, out of bordem today I began trying to think of a way to play my pc games from my couch using my 32" tv. The comfiest way to game from my couch would be a controller, seeing as the coffee table infront of the couch is really low.
Should I even try pc gaming with an xbox 360 controller or am I just going to be torn to shreds by everyone on any game? XD

Then theres the fact that I'd need a wireless mouse and keyboard simply so I wouldn't need to worry about anyone tripping on my cables and destroying my current stuff.

I know there are people out there that do pc game from the couch. If thats you, mind telling me a bit about what kind of setup your using?

Fork_Q has a "Steam box" attached to my TV, I just use it to play co-op games and platformers. Xbox Controller works perfectly fine for those games.

Works fine for FPS games too, so long you don't play the more twitchy and fast shooter games (or online).

Its better in theory than practice, most pc games are for up close, imagine squinting at starcraft units from 6-8 feet back....

The only games that work are the "console" type games....

Anyways you say 32" tv like its going to be better, but the thing is, while being a big computer monitor is a tiny tv, so the size will be more than nullified by the fact that you are sitting far away.

And yes in any competitive game, a controller is going to be a handicap.

I see what you mean but playing on a 32" tv is going to be harder. Playing on a 28" inch monitor is going to be easier than playing on a tv because the response time on a monitor is easier than a tv. Therefore playing on a pc monitor will be a lot easier based on what you want to play.

Yep, beyond that the pc monitor will likely have a better resolution as well, what matters is how much of your field of view the display covers, and a computer monitor up close is equivalent to a rather large screen from far away.
