Cant Enjoy Single-Player games anymore?
ok guys,i cant enjoy single-player games anymore.I just want to end them.I think like ''The sooner i end this game, the sooner i will write a review''.this weekend i ended Dishonored in like 2 days?I loved the game, but i still think that i ended it too fast.Anyway guys i am just curious if i am the only one with such stupidity.Have you ''experienced'' something like that?

Have a good day everyone ! :happymeat:

never really liked single player games that much other than roguelikes.
even then, roguelikes are still more fun with co-op.

I did Saints Row IV while it was free, with one day left, almost 100%.

Lulz
Not even once

Yeah, but with MP games. Anything with forced Co-op or a heavy focus on PvP can ♥♥♥♥ right off.

I have a tip. Don't focus on writing a review, if that's what's making you lose interest.

The only single-player games I can think of where I had that thought are Serious Sam 3: BFE and BioShock Infinite, though since BFE began to have more open-spaced levels after level 5 and the new mechanics barely changed the core gameplay, that thought went away pretty quickly. BSI, on the other hand, had been stripped of virtually all RPG-like mechanics that made the previous Shock games feel like...well, Shock games. The linear gameplay, mediocre story and addition of a regenerating shield also seemed to make me want to quit playing very soon.

Hooray someone that agrees that Infinite wasn't very good and didn't deserve all the 9/10 and 10/10s it got.

Yea, Dishonored ended pretty quickly.

Don't play bad single player games.

Try Freedom Planet, It's so good that it'll keep you addicted.

Play older single player games. Baldur's Gate 2 can last you over a hundred hours, same with Fallout 2.

Completely agree with this guy. If you're playing a game just to write the review, you won't focus on story, instead you will try to notice every aspect of the gameplay, so you can write a complex review and, optionally, get likes .

Sort of. I have many games and not enough time to play them as much and toroughly as I would want to. I can spend a lifetime and may still discover things and see aspects I did not before. And that's just singleplayer. Multiplayer games can be massive timesinks too. It's one of the reasons why I stay away MMORPGs and from open-world singleplayer RPGs for most times as well. As much as I would like to play Skyrim or Fallout: New Vegas - hell, I did never finish Morrowind or Oblivion, let alone discover even 3/4 of their worlds - I fear they would consume so much of my time I might never get to play any of the dozens others that interest me.

Then there is some metalevel stuff I do with them to. Record music and gameplay, write reviews, try to take key screenshots of important moments and so on. It's not making things better. I try to reduce this stuff and stick with gaming for most times, but sometimes I just end up writing a whole book on one game instead. Or spend hours in one scene waiting for that awesome screenshot key moment to appear. And then I want to "see" stuff too. In singleplayer FPS I often feel urged to see every corner and item that is there. I bet I wouldn't have spend as nearly as much time with Bioshock and Bioshock: Infinite if the devs hadn't been so tremendously in love with detail work. If I don't understand or pay attention to dialogues I often reload stuff and do things over and over again because I fear I might have missed a detail.

Ultimatively I don't feel very happy with this situation, so I really just try to get back to the roots of it all and just play for the sake of playing. But it's not easy. I've gone long past the point of seeing games only as places to mess around in. Except for multiplayer games I already have played like a millions of hours and know in and out.

I thought it was a pretty long game, took around 2 weeks for me to beat.
