2. half life series is bad because it is overrated, in a game like half life there is supposed to be alot of story, which there was for the first 15 minutes, then it was just running around doing boring puzzles for 1-2 hours

Overrated =/= bad. That point is invalid.
There's a lot of story throughout the games for the entirety of it, you just were paying no attention.

"Doing boring puzzles for 1-2 hours," as well as combat, scavenging, and driving, as well as arriving at places and listening to conversations and exploring the world around you. For much longer than 2 hours. It's more like 10-12, if you aren't rushing through. I don't know where you get 1-2 hours from.

You may find the puzzles in Half Life boring and easy, but their purpose was not to be challenging puzzles. It was to break up the gameplay and give the game more pacing and variety. Doing nothing but shooting things gets repetitive after a while, so Valve has you do other things besides shooting so as to avoid that problem.
