For now...
For the the OP, i can only guess that they want free items or a slightly friendlier environment, really deplorable but currently we can't stop it so why bother?
The STEAM is no different then any other social network, but only difference it consist of PC gamers.
That is not too say that someone out there is trying to be friend you for evil reasons or just would like a COOP buddy, but you never know.
Naked Pic as your Profile is nice to look at, but what really lurks behind the profile.
Just my 2 cents.
