How do you pronounce Doge?

Seriously, this has been driving me crazy.

For the longest time I thought it was pronounced as "dohj", but my friend is insisting it's pronounced as "Doggy".

A quick search revealed nothing but different pronunciations for it. So I ask the ultimate question, how do you pronounce doge?

i don't pronounce it because it's a dumb meme that people somehow think is still funny

if we represented the doge meme with a real dog, and for everytime somebody laughed at the meme or brought it up it got beaten, there wouldn't even be a dog anymore

just a bunch of blood and entrails where the dog used to be

Well, that escalated quickly.

But yeah, I never said I thought the meme was funny, I was just curious as to how you pronounced it since I've never given it much thought before. I always thought "dohj" was the right way to say it.
