You use copyrighted audio or video for a YouTube video, and the Content Id system will automagically discover it and passes the information to the Copyright holder, who will either block it or monetise it from ads. It's pissed YouTubers off because it's not 100% accurate and there is little recourse if there is a dispute. Also potential for abuse and apprently infringes on Fair Use rights.
There has been instances of YouTubers being blocked or forced with ads because companies have mistakenly (or maliciously) claimed bird singing or even the uploader's commentary as being theirs.
Would not be surprised if it was Jpop. The Japanese music industry is rigid and backwards when it comes to online music distribution.
