So I need a Game like Monster Hunter...(Read below for more info)

Hello! So basically I've wanting to play some Monster Hunter clone for PC. So I'm wondering if you guys out there could recommend me one! :)

Although I have a criteria.

~No MMOs
~Must have a single player mode
~PC Only.

I don't know of any such Monster Hunter clones. If their were any I would already own them I suppose. I don't think you will find such a game, you better just stick to the original.

Not exactly what I'm looking for. Those are grand scale rpgs, while monster hunter is more of a hunting game with dinosaurs and dragons.

I wish such a thing existed. I'm a big MH fan, but I'm not about to buy a 3DS for the series. If only Capcom would just make an English version of MH Online.

Haha yeah, I wish they honestly ported one of the games at least. It seems that i'll stick to MH3U .

Pokémon, maybe? You don't exactly kill the Pokémon you find and sell them for cash and weapons, but I've heard it's sort of like a dumbed down version of MH. I can't really say anything about it though since I've never played Monster Hunter myself, so take this with a grain of salt.

Pokemon is more a turn based jrpg where you capture monsters. Is incredibly similar to something like the megami tensei games I've you've ever played those.

Monster hunter is more of a difficult action game where you take quests, hunt monsters to make weapons and armor so you can hunt even stronger monsters and then repeat a never ending cycle.

MH is basically a hunting game where you kill monsters and craft stuff with their body parts. Pokemon....isn't anything like that. I'm a huge pokemon fan as well, but it's just not the same experience in any way.

It's not on steam but there's a game called "Hunter Blade". It's a carbon copy of Monster Hunter, but the only issue is that it's online only. Warframe is kinda like a 3rd person shooter take on Monster Hunter, it's a co op action RPG where you go on missions, kill stuff, and have to grind materials to make new stuff like Monster Hunter, but once again, it's online only.

Orion:prelude has a tad bit of the MH feel. You run around hunting dinosaurs.

It reminds me of Monster hunter, although hunting bosses isn't really the main focus.

The combat is somewhat similar, but combat is only one part of a MH game.
