PU vs PVC for a gaming chair?

I have no idea if a gaming chair is considered as hardware in a gaming setup, so I hope I posted in the right spot.

I am going to dish out money for a gaming chair, so I want something that is going to last. For the chair cover, I have the option between polyurethane(PU) and polyvinyl chloride(PVC). I tried googling which material is better but I couldn't find anything definitive. Which option should I choose? Thanks.
