This was from after the "нет" incident. Linking to a horrifying birth-defected baby or not, Having everyone fear some stupid shock content like this in every rip even though it was only in a few rips is NOT what he's looking for (I know it's a team of people running the channel but my point stands)


I mean, if there was one I kind of liked, it was the Sonic rip, since that actually kept playing the song, and bass-boosted it (or however tf that works), instead of just interrupting the rip with some irrelevant rap. Or, whatever it is, I can't tell when it's so distorted it sounds like wet farts.

I think that all the controversy and hate towards the Bean, is that it is sudden and loud.

You see: most of SiIvagunner's memes, and part of the actual channel's joke, is that the changes are added in a subtle way.

Suddenly the Flintstones theme, but you didn't expected it. It was added in a subtle way that required you some seconds to notice and tell to yourself "Oh, it's the Flintstones theme (or GRAND DAD, if you're already in this memery)!"

The bean is the exact opposite of that essence. It arrives in the most abrupt way as possible.

People can like that joke, like "Oh ♥♥♥♥! I've just got beaned! :D" But still will be based in the exact opposite of how 95% of the memes works, and naturally people could dislike, or actively hate the Bean.

No, it's mainly that it's loud. It could've been alright, even decent if the audio wasn't so intentionally ear-rapey. Instead we have sound which could be compared to old screamer videos of Youtube's deep history.

Notice something? While the song has some slight bumps, due to instruments being louder than other instruments, and generally music not being a straight sound like a held note, the bean is a constant blast of max sound.

To describe this in a non-memey way...Go have a few pieces of sweet chocolate, then some Jolly Ranchers hard candy, and why not some Fun Dip?

A. Didn't break decent mashups of decent songs.

AND

B. Wasn't the best way to kill the eardrums of anyone using headphones.

It'd have had a chance at being a decent meme. But now, no. People are doing what SiIva feared when the initial Puzzle Room video was released. They are scared to watch, in case they "get bean'd". They hide to the comments, HOPING someone points out the bean, and HOPING that whoever says "It's safe!" or "Bean is in video!" isn't lying.

THAT doesn't even work too much anymore. Considering people are often mixed in with liars, we just got a video like this.

It starts off with Nutshack mashing up, and generally sounds pretty dang cool. Then comes in Pokemon Go. Kind of ruined the beat of this song, but still not bad. Then at 2:20, the last 16 seconds, the last 10% of the video, it blasts you with noise.

And what about videos which start off immediately with bean? Anyone who loads them before reading the comments, or even being able to pause/see the rating bar will be blasted with it, and all you can hope was that they muted beforehand.

To finish it off, I think this part of a quote from SiIvaGunner, when he was at his only point where he was breaking character, and being honestly serious, posted.

"..Now people are asking on each rip if its safe, and that's not the kind of channel I wanted.."

I think Bean will work if the ear rape is telegraphed and doesn't transition so violently. K.K. Funk is a step in the right direction, as there's a visual cue that something is about to happen and it's not quite as aggressively earrapey as the previous installments. Straight up jumpscares like the Mother 3 rip that are completely lacking any sort of transition or warning are just unacceptable, though.

The Bean must announce his arrival, or he will not be tolerated.

So loud nigra is subtle? The entirety of snow halation isn't subtle? Having a theme changes to match the flintstones theme where it doesn't fit at all is subtle? This channel may occasionally use subtelty, but it definitely isn't the main theme of the channel.
