Anime Club 4 N00Bz
I took some suggestions from some Steam users on here and I loved the anime that I watched. Every anime I've toucehd has been GOLD. As I build my taste in anime, I wanna be able to know exactly what I'm going to like/not going to like. This will be espeically helpful given the ocean of anime that's out there Let me give you the short list of what I've watched and loved in order:

Cowboy Bebop
Samurai Champloo
Paranoia Agent
Beck Mongolian Chop Squad
Attack on Titan (was ok)
Stein's Gate
Sword Art Online
Psycho-Pass (was ok)
Kids On The Slope
Danganronpa
YuYu Hakusho
Terror In Resonance
Mitchiko & Hatchin

So it is finally here! I created the Anime Club 4 N00bz Group!

I really encourage everyone to join and post and spread the word so we can get all kinds of different anime lovers or n00bz to share their perspectives.

The group is also called Anime Club 4 N00bz so feel free to search that. Here is the link as well. http://steamcommunity.com/groups/AnimeClub4N00bz

basically a kid encounters a book which if you write names in it they will die, he needs to keep secret about it and try not to get caught by the task-force working on the investigation for the nichname they give him (KIRA)

Oh! I kinda like that. Sounds dark. How sci-fi or fantasy is it though? It's helpful if you can compare it to other shows as a point of reference if you can.

It's pretty much contemporary. Apart from the book and it's origins it's all normal life stuff.

well in fantasy terms theres a death god that follows him around that anyone that touches the death note can see, its more of him trying to get away from the heat and take down the task force

There are Shinigami, which are gods of death.

Light Yagami is a genius high school student who discovers the "Death Note", a notebook that kills anyone whose name is written in it. After experimenting with the notebook, Light meets the Shinigami Ryuk, the notebook's original owner, who dropped the notebook to the human world out of boredom. Light tells Ryuk of his plan to rule over a new world free from criminals as a god, where only people he deems morally fit to live remain. Light eventually becomes known to the public as Kira (キラ?), which is derived from the Japanese pronunciation of the word "killer".
Kira's killings catch the attention of Interpol and the world-famous detective, "L". L manages to narrow Kira's location to Japan with a trap Light falls for. Light joins L and his anti-Kira task force in hopes of eventually finding a way to kill L

So far the ones I wanna test out from the suggestions are:

The Future Diary
Black Lagoon
Death Note

Keep Em coming! Oh and by the way, I'm usually turned off to a show that has like a million episodes. I'm giving Fullmetal Alchemist a pass if I can ever find a streaming service that hosts a dub

Elfen Lied is a good short one,
Elfen Lied takes place in Kamakura, Japan, and focuses on the "Diclonius", a newly mutated species. Their appearance is similar to humans, but with several differences, namely horn-like protrusions on the forehead and the presence of telekinetic invisible arms called "Vectors". One such Diclonius, Lucy, is the main character of the series: Initially held in a facility built for experimentation, located off the coast of Kamakura, she manages to escape and wreak havoc, but is injured in the process, an event which causes her to develop a secondary, childlike personality known as Nyu.
Lucy is found by two locals, Kohta, who studies at the local university, and his cousin Yuka. They take her in, and become involved with the numerous, often brutal, attempts to recapture her by a Special Assault Team and a number of other Diclonius, who shift frequently from oblivious to murderous.

it also focuses more on living with her, the facilities after her and the past she had
