I think I can predict how humanity will be wiped out
I'm starting to think that probably humanity will be completely erased from existence because of nuclear disasters, and no I'm not talking about the war.
Nuclear plants are in my opinion much more scary than a nuclear war, there are so many of them all around the world, and in my opinion things are going worse and worse I mean schools just suck and in most cases they are focused just on some dumb useless brainwash or even on nothing at all, just on keeping students all in one place while parents are at work. People are becoming more and more inept and unable to seriously do their work, maybe for other reasons too but the awful quality of schools for sure is one of the main reasons, and all those nuclear plants obviously just get oilder and older, like evverything else do, so I think there will be a day when most people will not be trained well enough and serious enough to deal with all that awful crap scattered around the world to prevent accidents and at that point it will be like who knows how many nuclear wars happening all at once in so many different parts of the world.
I don't even want to imagine how awful it will be then.

In order for nuclear plants to cause the apocalypse pretty much all of them would have to have meltdowns. The odds of that happening are ridiculously remote compared to so many other things that could end humanity.

We all be dying from the insane heat in a few decades. We ♥♥♥♥♥♥ it up the last 2 centuries. We too late to fix it.

Pretty much this.

It'll come down to whether or not we have the tech to settle elsewhere by the time Earth starts looking more like Venus.

I think earth will restore itself after human influence is gone, but that will take far more time than humans even existed. im talking millions of years. or billions in english i think it is.
But I'm telling this since the 90's already then they called me a fool.
I even got a 1.00 for biology in 1995 cause I said seagulls eat plastic.
My teacher was furious, but that fool didn't know I was a ranger at the age of 8 already for WWF and on my autopsy of stomach content of a seagull all I found was plastic pieces of bags, and those clips you use to seal it. some rubber bands also. piece of a straw, all ♥♥♥♥ like that I couldn't even identify any normal food. So I just wrote down my observations from the autopsy I did at WWF course and got an 1.00 at school for at least spelling my name correct.
Nowadays there is more plastic soup than actual clean ocean. It is ridiculous.

Gotta look at CO2 levels and temps throughout history. Earth has had zero glaciers on the poles for 3.8 billion years out of 4.5 billion years. We'd definitely survive. Wouldn't be fun, but we'd survive.

Restore from humanity to be destroyed by something else?
The first mass extinction has been caused by the first plants that created oxygen for the first time (oxygen was a poison for every other life form back then) long before the first human was born.
Most other planets we know of are terrifying hellish environments where all life forms would immediately die.
The fact that our planet is an exception does not mean there is a worthy reason why it must be such an exception.
Sooner or later every planet must die for one reason or another. Imagine life coming back on this planet only to be erased again when it happens, if not even sooner for some kind of disaster some life form might cause (as I said we are not the only ones and we haven't even been the first ones to cause such things)
I am against nuclear energy and I think that we should try our best to avoid damaging our home for our own good, to avoid suffering the consequences, but once such a huge damae has been done and the suffering already happened (let's hope not, of course) it would be much more wise if life just give it up disappear once and for all, and stop this pointless, self harmful nonsense that for the most part just causes a lot of suffering.

The fact that our planet is an exception does not mean there is a meaningful reason why it should be like that.

I'm talking climate change and pollution here nothing about nukes.
edit: and i dont think humans will die out, but civiilaztion as we know it won't be there.

You see kids, that's why education is important.

Here comes a shocker for all greencels: Solar panels need silicon which means silicon doping which often times (not always) means nuclear reactors.

You can cry, yell, pressure your government all you want, fission reactors are here to stay.
Volfogg 2022 年 10 月 25 日 上午 9:11
Sigh... And nothing of value will be lost anyway... Just let that extinction happen.

Or someone drops a firecracker in a volcano on the ring of fire.

you know if you drop a big bag of water in a volcano you get much more explosion than fireworks will do. because of the temperature difference the water will explosive evaporate instant. (like adding water in a burning fryer pan)
Also meaty things like humans , which are mosty water explode immensly when thrown in a volcano. This is why they used to sacrifise people to a volcano like this and thought of the explosion as some divine power.

Humanity will still find a way to survive because only the rich will survive. They will live in bunkers deep underground. Come back out then repopulate.

At least give Thorium reactors a chance, like India's doing. Just because you can't make a bomb out of it is no reason to keep this senseless cold war going thereby irradiating our planet for hundreds of thousands of years.

Earth will be swallowed by a Blackhole.

This is not a prediction, this is knowledge.

Remember this upcoming fact whenever you eat a bowl of hot spaghetti.
A black hole is unlikely to do that because space is so vast. We're at a huge danger of a rogue planet entering the solar system where we all die horribly. If not, the Sun will destroy the Earth, and solar system in 5 billion years as it becomes a Red Giant.

Nah they only ruin nearby cities and areas, not the entire continent. Chernobyl for example. Or Fukushima.
Why this is a simulation, Fukushima blew so much material into the air. That officially we should be all dead worldwide.

If i had been predicting something, i wouldn't be saying that as being sucked into a Blackhole seems very unlikely at the moment, in a vast Universe.

Having said that, mine was not a prediction.

But knowledge. :eventhorizon666:

Obviously. It takes deliberate effort on operators end to explode a second gen (aka old) fatally flawed communist made reactor (chernobyl) let alone a modern western one. Considering they pretty much all have to catastrophically fail much like chernobyl at the same time to end the entire humanity.... Yeah, not happening.

You need neutron bombardment for doping silicon which is plenty in u235 reactors. I don't know how thorium reactors work so i can't comment on that.
