If you're not going to actually discuss what I said, don't respond with your deranged rambles about agendas.
I am discussing what you said. Funding was taken from normal schools and given to Charter schools. Then the normal schools somehow increased their funding. You said that.

It wasn't taken from them since schools get their funds through property tax. Funding was just made for charter schools.

I never said anything about funds being taken, that was you.

So they increased taxes somewhere to fund the charter schools? Which are run as a for-profit business. I dunno. For-profit hospitals and prison system are nightmares. Only the owners do well.

The USA is walking down pretty much the same path as Weimar Germany with a dysfunctional government, a weakening economy, inflation, and reducing influence over world affairs.

It ends the same way every time. A demagogue will rise to power on a wave of popular support and turn the Republic into a fascist military state.

There are powerful people behind the scenes setting things up for this takeover. They're probably following the same formula that led to Adolf Hitler, and need a scapegoat just like the nazis did to focus the people's rage upon.

Of course they don't want us focusing our rage upon the corrupt plutocrats who have driven our country to ruin with their greed and incompetence. That's where it properly belongs but they won't have that.

Who is your enemy?

Some country on the other side of the ocean?
Some minority group that you probably don't know or have hardly heard of at all?
Terrorists?
(insert MSM boogeyman here?)

Or is it the rich bastards who have been systematically destroying the prosperity our country use to have with inflation, outsourcing, exploitation of slave labor and illegal immigrants, and manipulation of debt?

And not to mention outright fraud in our stock market which could merit a thread of over 1000 posts just by itself. If you haven't spent years digging into this you just have no idea.

The Federal government is the single greatest threat not just to the American people, but to all people on planet Earth.

Judging by graduation rates and testing scores, it seems like it benefited everyone.

But I didn't expect you to actually drop your tribalism and admit someone on the side you hate did something that greatly benefited disenfranchised groups. The brain is very good at protecting itself.

I do have a very hard time to believe they did that. Just because the government says they did does not make it true. They did make some private companies (or church groups) make profits. Too many governments like doing that. Got an independent evaluation of these gains?

Yep. A lot of states like that. The private schools get to force agendas onto the kids with no repercussions.

Actually no.

Charter schools are public schools.

You have to pay tuition and you also have to apply and go through an approval process.

It’s a private school.

It's complicated. The main thing is that is it operated by someone that is not the government, but is funded by the government. At least partially. Every area has their own negotiations on how the specifics work.

Charter schools are free, there is no tuition.

So, again, they are public schools. They are not private. It's free even if you don't live in the district of the school, unlike public schools. Public schools will charge you if you are out of their district.

Uhh, public schools aren't "operated by the government". They have to follow state standards. The same standards charter schools have to follow.

Public schools don't have elected officials in charge of them? The school board. Receive property tax money from the local government? The local government does not set the amount of taxes?
And the Charter schools do not have to follow the standards. But that varies by region.

That still isn't "run by the government". They follow the same regulations charter schools do.

Both do in order to stay accredited.

Cool.

I'm speaking from here. So I don't care about the general definition since it obviously doesn't apply to my residence.

They aren't private, public schools are not 'government run', and charter schools are required to follow the same regulations as public schools.

That’s only true in charter districts where they out-competed the public option and forced it to close. And those charters tried to get out of it, and the local councils had to pass laws to force them to let their kids in.

It’s a wolf in sheeps clothing.
