If it wasn't a meme before, it now is!
https://www.bnnbloomberg.ca/sandy-hook-families-seek-2-75-trillion-from-alex-jones-1.1836028

Basically, Sandy Hook families want to keep suing Alex Jones, now for damages possibly up to worth a third of the U.S. total outlays from the 2021 fiscal year[en.wikipedia.org]
Even most countries could only dream of such budgets.

What's up with that?

Is this America?

What do you think?

now you're arguing in bad faith.

I'm not deceiving, just telling from my own experiences. Depending on where they stand politically, they tend to trust the media that validates their views more and tend to dismiss alternatives challenging their views as fake and harmful, which is often reinforced by the media they consume. Caught with confirmation bias in a positive feedback loop.
I know people that blindly believe RT, I know people that blindly believe Tagesschau, I know people that blindly believe random pundits. What's more scary, they are many and they often believe they have a balanced news diet - whatever that is.

What do you mean? Man just DELETED those words from existance with the celestial brush from Okami.

I don't understand what you mean.
I'm playing along with you on how pointless that kind of act is. Just silly fun really.

The bad faith part is to claim that the facts are diluted by the differing perspectives. Or that the many viewpoints, or different sides as you call them, are all equally valid.

This is all 100% true. It seemed like you were saying something different in the previous post. It seemed like you were saying all main stream media is bad and all the same. Many do say that.

Would I use mainstream media as my source if I'd argue mainstream media is the ultimate evil? It isn't, but like any media, it shouldn't be just believed but questioned.
He needs to get to working flipping them burgers at mcdonalds so he can start pying them people their trillion of dollars he owes the family.

He's openly admitted that the nearly billion he already owes is just making him double down on his crackpot conspiracies, may as well play hardball if it's hardball he wants.

the lesson is to stay anonymous so nobody can sue you

Yes, getting sued for a billion dollars will definitely make the paranoid conspiracist come around to society.

Heh, if you want "true" neutrality. Literally everything is bad to be fair.

If there is one thing I am certain of in life... Everybody is biased. And, I ain't saying that negatively... that is perfectly normal. And also why even in the most honest country ever, you need to vary your sources to have an accurate picture.

Alex Jones got his start through having his friend sue him and then profiting off of the publicity it generates and splitting the proceeds.

Truth. But that don't work. Most "verify" by finding someplace that agrees with what they already want to think. Then they claim that they did do their own research. They never learn anything.

I get the hunch that if the killer was still alive, they wouldn't be this hard on Alex. They'd be able to get their frustrations out on seeing the killer go to prison for life.

This is revenge, not justice. Ruining the guy isn't making them whole again.

THE VICTIM CARD! Always play that victim card. What conservatives do every single time. No matter how much they hurt others, they are always the real victim. The.Real.Victim.

Nope. 110% justice.
