The Birds was not my most liked Hichcock film first time watching it, It just kind of grew on me after a time.
A Spanish time travel movie about a man who accidentally travels back in time nearly an hour. Finding himself will be the first of a series of disasters of unforeseeable consequences.
The movie that revolves around the passengers of a yachting trip in the Atlantic Ocean who, when struck by mysterious weather conditions, jump to another ship only to experience greater havoc.
In a future world devastated by disease, a convict is sent back in time to gather information about the man-made virus that wiped out most of the human population on the planet.
Strange things begin to happen when a group of friends gather for a dinner party on an evening when a comet is passing overhead.
Mourning his dead child, a haunted Vietnam War veteran attempts to discover his past while suffering from a severe case of dissociation. To do so, he must decipher reality and life from his own dreams, delusion, and perception of death.
A private investigator is hired by an enigmatic man to track down a singer called Johnny Favorite, but the investigation takes an unexpected and somber turn.
A movie theatre owner is hired to search for the only existing print of a film so notorious that its single screening caused the viewers to become homicidally insane.
Hmm I need to look into these .
It was great - managed to be just creepy and weird enough without going into silly territory, a nice suprise but didnt get the start of it so looking for a dvd or something.
Cigarette burns sounds right up my street. I love threads like this and welcome all the contributions - Im making notes in my black book of films to check out:)
And its awesome to share our discoveries.
Keep em coming!
I just thought of another classic horror I recently saw:
The Wicker Man (1973 version, Christopher Lee)
A police sergeant is sent to a Scottish island village in search of a missing girl whom the townsfolk claim never existed. Stranger still are the rites that take place there.
The Shining is one of my all time favorites.
If you enjoy reading, I would heartily reccommend "Doctor Sleep" by Stephen King.
King says he wanted to know what happened to Danny Torrance, the boy at the heart of The Shining, after his terrible experience in the Overlook Hotel. The instantly riveting Doctor Sleep picks up the story of the now middle-aged Dan, working at a hospice in rural New Hampshire, and the very special twelve-year old girl he must save from a tribe of murderous paranormals.
Boo!
