Funny how The Orville is better than anything new Star Trek

A parody show of Star Trek, the Orville, is better than even the best of the newest Star Trek series including Strange New Worlds which is by far best of all recent Treks.

I would say Orville is on par with how good TNG used to be. TNG remastered so much better than anything they put out now.

But Orville is a true continuation of TNG.

I mean how can people who own the original IP screw it up so badly and a show that does not have the IP is actually a better Star Trek show?

I like the Orville a lot. It helped reform my brain after the Picard series melted it.
Modern Trek makes me feel sick. The dialogue is consistently either an emotional platitude with no more depth than a water cracker, a nihilistic, depressed aphorism, or bouts of technical jargon followed by an incensing, “I love science!” type comment.

The Orville kinda jumped the shark after season 1.

I preferred the goofy, irreverent spoof of Trek & scifi that season 1 and a few unique episodes displayed . . . and then it just became a Next Generation extension. No surprise; Brannon Braga is involved.

I wouldn't say it is "better" just a rehash of next generation material. Strange New Worlds is quite decent. Picard is alright too. And Discovery is . . . a vehicle for alternative agendas.

I believe it, because Star Trek stopped being good after "Next Generation". I tried to give deep space nine a chance, but that series wasn't that good. Aside, excluding Voyager's Captain Janeway, anything after Next Generation is crap.

The only gripe i have with new Startrek is how short those series are compare to older one, it may have as little as 1 or 4 season and then they are done.

And some minior that it feel like start of the school where the crew havent find their place in the ship or something? But that usually goes by within few episode.

Sci Fi series have all been pasteurized, homogenized, and lobotomized since the 1970's.

You would have to go back to Twilight Zone/Outer Limits & Harlan Ellison's stuff to get anything that pushed the envelope for a series.
