What?
Don´t you agree about the arguments presented?
Sauron seething as the skaven toss the ring as an offering into the Great Horned One's communion chamber.. or it just gets lost and a skaven broodmother sits on it.
Sauron couldn't even hope to corrupt the skaven since they are already under eldritch influence.
I wouldn't have any issue with that at all. Though, Simon Tolkien's association... Well, I kind of doubt there's anything there more than just name-dropping PR and a licensing agreement.
While I compose my Magnum Opus Email, you can read this: https://dei.amazonstudios.com/inclusion-policy/
They, themselves, had the option to refrain and did not take it. Their own policy can prevent something like non-homogenous casting for Wakanda extras and walk-ons, but... can't be used to prevent non-homogenous casting in "other" sorts of productions?
Ah, I see how that works, now...
Note: I don't have an issue with it "being done." I truly have an issue on "how" it was done and the continued garbage excuses and the "you should feel bad for even asking" PR statements that they're putting out. They perpetuate this drama on purpose, IMO, as "free marketing," too. THAT is where I have the issue. Either way, though - They're just going to make the franchise into a political statement and, when it tanks, will blame "bigots and racists" for its failure. They'll do it, just like every single other production that has been built this way from the ground up.

Tolkien's fans want Middle Earth and would support the show if it was about Middle Earth and not today's social climate. The show is doomed from the start for the same reason that Netflix has lost half it's value.
Why are you even responding to me?
Send your complaint email to Amazon and be done with it.
Huh? I just linked what Amazon's public policy statement actually is. That's it. There's no claim of a "conspiracy." It's... quota driven company policy. It's right there, in print.
Why did I respond to you? Well, it's... appropriate? Polite, even if two people disagree? Whatever. Don't worry about it anymore.
Now i just need to figure out what it's used for.
Aside from passive aggressive Jester awards.
Atleast post something proper to the debate.
Do you agree with the statement or do you disagree? if so, why? and then make your counter.
All those oneliners, does not further debate.
We are a friendly community here on steam and it is the point, that you keep the cycle going, by gifting another, the greatest honour of all... the Jester award
I don´t
The vast majority of people on the steam off topic is actually extremely friendly.
Sure there are some that might go a tad out of the edge, but most are friendly and accept eachother differences.
