Having narrowly escaped the corrupt Qing thugs, Lu Haodong and Wong Fei Hung desperately throw the White Sun Blue Sky flag to Sun Wen on the escaping steam ship, and the credits roll as the Wong Fei Hung flag plays.
Quite a moving moment. And as it was made in Hong Kong, which was still free at the time, it was probably a big FU to Beijing.

nice choice. i really liked that story.
I do suggest to skip spoilered text, if you haven't watched, yet, and do plan to watch, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.
For example, I've enjoyed watching Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.. Until the fifth episode, or so.. Until David went full cyberware and became more of a robot.
Then, the last episode or two were quite good, because the harsh reality was there. Still, I've been expecting something more.. Like, Adam Smasher going and hunting Lucy afterwards, as she has witnessed the entire fight and knows what shall stay hidden.
Now, I'd also like to clarify, it doesn't have to be the movie's ending.
It's enough if the happy or sad moments do happen during the first half of the movie.. If that becomes the case, that part usually becomes my favorite, just like with Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.
At the end, I'll always welcome the sad endings more over the happy ones, as they're clearly more realistic.
