Is it okay that I like Nietzsche?
I like him for is fair standpoints on the natural foolishness of politics and warfare. I've been reading him with my philosophy tutor every sunday. Although utopia is impossible, we can make the best world we can possible if humans naturally pass aside everything pathetic and violent, and emerge as equals, as geniuses, as heroes, as the Übermensch! I got a little zealous there, but I believe this will happen once we reach the next great steps of evolution.
P.S. He was not a fascist! He hated antisemitism, and he would be appalled by the abhorrent actions caused by the evil idealogy!

Dunno. Violence solves many things. Usually permanently.
Humans have been finding reasons to kill each other for thousands of years and that hasn't changed. In fact, we're getting far better at it than we've ever been. We haven't solved anything or learnt anything. We're still just as brutal, we're just more civilized about it.

which books of Nietzsche are you reading?
Thus spoke Zarathustra, I also read one of his political essays one time. Not a book, just a paper.

His aphorisms are pretty good. No, you're not a bad person.

Anyone claiming he was a nazi is just an idiot.

Literally no one on Earth can claim that. LOL wut.
He literally died 30 years before the Nazis even existed. :P
That would be like claiming that George Washington was a communist. :P

Liking is fine.

Taking words as gospel and stop thinking critically is where the problem lays.

True. But his sister, who heavily edited his works after his death, was an enthusiastic Nazi. I wonder if she and that vicious Vichy ♥♥♥♥♥ Chanel ever had a girls night out.

THat makes no sense.
He died in 1900.
The Nazis didn't exist until the late 1920s.

Please explain how his sister could have been that before the Nazis even existed?

Okay. "In the 1950s it was claimed by Nietzsche's new editors and translators such as Walter Kaufmann that Nietzsche's work had been falsely edited by Elisabeth to highlight racist and eugenicist themes, but this account has been the subject of debate in recent scholarship.[2] An alternative theory exonerates Elizabeth and places the distortion of Nietzsche's works in the hands of the Nazis themselves.[3]"

So, now I'm conflicted.

I'm going to go with the citations here.

That being said, all this proves is she may have distorted things, but that's it.
The real stuff is all there.
To this day.

Nietzsche was not against violence or war and was an unapologetic elitist.

Do not trust Kaufmann, he is a subversive egalitarian.
