I couldn't tell you I don't consider myself a poor man
I feel uncomfortable even calling a taxi. Not because they are terrible or outrageously expensive - they are actually pretty nice here in Germany, unless it's a bloody Prius - but because I feel snobby doing it, even if someone else pays the bill.
a simple ride of 60km with a taxi is nearly 130 euro!
even a short 2km ride is already 30 euro.
compared to public transport of about 15-20cent per km thats outragious..
a taxi you basicly only use if you have np driving licence (so a rental car is no option) and need to bring sensitive cargo (transport firms will toss your package around even if you pay for secure shipment as the low paid employees care nothing) at a time public transport is not driving 1am to 6am
it usually is cheaper to just stay a night at a hotel near the airport for the night.. and public transport the next day..
comfortbly in the train with plenty of legspace enjoying my lunch and getting work done while charging my laptop and enjoying free wifi..
I be shortly at the airport with my exit bringing me at the elevator in the central hal.
while the slackers in cars will have to stand in file for hours .. pay 2 euro a liter on gas and pay 6-20 euro an hour parkinf fees or pay 20 euro+ 2 euro a minute for a taxi..
and have to walk with their luggage for 15-20 minute to that hall I already an in..
ew cars!
However I have no requirement to work on a train and my commute is from a rural area to the city. I have no parking charges because my car is parked at the store car park or the restaurant and I did not have to share the coughs and sneezes from the other commuters. :)
Ewwww mass transit.
Lol, wtf. Taxi fares are set by the municipalities here, maybe I'm just lucky living in a place where it's relatively cheap, especially if you catch something like an E-Class or a Vito. Yes, it is outragously expensive compared to bus, tram or train, but still a viable alternative if you have no other choice or can afford the convenience.
-in that case eew usa/bad urban planning (notjustbikes on youtube can tell why better than I)
and I fear no sneezes;)
A big hurdle to becoming rich is living like your rich before you are. Gotta grow your net worth first through saving and investing. But lots of people like to leverage up and consume as much as possible.
Gotta consooooooom!!
