black and white 2 and black and white 2 battle of the gods why aren't they on steam yet
hello i just want to bring up a topic that i think should get some discussion on why these games aren't on steam yet and some points on why it hasn't come and might never come in to steam. black and white 2 and battle of the gods is a PC game that you play as a god and travel to different lands to fight the evil Aztec empire and restore the Greek nation and you have a might creature to help you in your fight number 1 they were poorly made and rushed what i mean by this they had so many errors and technical problems they would quit out and shut down and freeze and close out. number 2 lack of game play and choices what i mean by this is while the games looked great they lacked actually choices and civics what i mean is this you only played one nation and didn't get to choose which civilization you wanted to play. number 3 story plot the story plot was the same over and over and should've added more to the story of the games and more lands and enemies to fight the Aztecs were great and the Norse and the ♥♥♥♥ but maybe the Egyptians,Celtics,Chinese,and maybe Mayans and the Incas would have been nice additions to the game. number 4 creatures while yes the ape lion wolf and cow were nice and the tiger and turtle in the battle of the gods was nice i think there should've been more like the rhino elephant goat horse panther maybe a bird but that was lacking also. number 5 military while yes you had swordsmen and archers and siege weapons like catapults there should've been cavalry and more different types of siege weapons and the fact that food was always a problem with your military because you were always having to watch out to make sure you didn't run out of food it was always better to just build and impress then to do battle. number 6 last point game mechanics i felt was always very odd and awkward to use in game and it always felt like you were fighting with the game mechanics and trying to get it to your play style.so at the end of the day i think these games should come in to steam but they would need to be seriously worked on and fixed and brought up to today's graphics and today's PC gaming. on top of that they would need to overhaul the two games or make it into one game but sadly these games will most likely never be brought out from olden days and have been forgotten by most fans but it is still a classic in my mind and there are no other games like it so hopefully maybe one day they might or might not but i just thought i would bring this up and another thing this my first time posting on here so what do you guys think should these two games be brought here or no and what would you do to fix these games thank you so much and have a good one

Valve cannot just bring properties other people own to steam. You have to message the right holders and ask them to bring it to Steam.

They are not on steam because the developer/publisher/IP owner didn't put them on Steam. Valve does not go around asking companies to bring their games.

If you want the games on Steam, YOU have to ask the developer/publisher/IP owner to bring it to steam.

Please learn proper punctuation and to use paragraphs to make your stuff actually readable because many will just not bother with a wall of text.

A wall of text with no indicators for when to pause or rest my eyes for a second is extremely annoying to read. Still, the title alone is enough to know that you want to see Black and White on Steam. You're not the only one. Just take a look at this GOG wishlist[www.gog.com] entry asking for it. Over 36 thousand votes, and there are other entries, each with tens of thousands of votes.

The IP of Black and White was owned by Lionhead Studios, which was purchased by Microsoft back in 2016. Microsoft closed the studio, but still holds the IP, so they're the ones to ask.

There is some hope. Prior Lionhead Studios IP "Fable" has a new game in the works. They teased it a couple of years ago.

So they likely haven't entirely forgotten about Black and White. Let them know it's wanted, and my "them", I mean "Microsoft". Valve doesn't have any say at all in what game gets published. They just serve it up.

That it hasn't is because the publishers haven't brought it to steam. The reason for that could be due to some rights tie up between Ol' Pete, Lionshead and the current publication rights holder.

They have forgotten about it. WOuld love Black and WHite actually.

i liked fable. i really liked punching peoples heads off and playing soccer with them.

with the rest, it seems 8bit is saying that microsoft will have to make that decision. since they are playing with fable, they just might release this.

suggestions like this, though, need to go to microsoft. unless you are jsut wanting to talk about it with like minded people. then a forum for that or game you want to see would be better,
