Other than that just search for subreddits on topics you like that don't have karma requirements. Usually if there is a popular subreddit with karma requirements there will be a "off brand" of it with a slightly different name and no karma requirement.
Also reddit is cliquey so popular subreddits will have subreddits dedicated to hating that subreddit and people will go there to poke fun at the people in the other subreddit.
Reddit is effectively worthless now.
Reddit is trash.
It's not that bad being around there, sometimes. I mostly just lurk there though.
It's logic is that it has it's 'clicks' or 'clubs' that all tell each other what they want to hear. Let's say you have an forum that talks about "rtruechefs", and a post that reads: I think only green foods are healthy. Literally everybody there will agree with OP, and say the same exact thing like drones, "Yep. All green foods are healthy. Yepper, any other colored food is bad, stay away." You don't get to hear that real world contrast in opinions unless you're in the forum that calls for that; you have to go to rskepticchefs for that. And if you dare so much as try to speak an opinion contrary to what the circlejerks want, you'll get crucified, and usually your post removed or just banned all together. The same with rtruegaming, rconspiracy, rpolitics, ect., ect. It's one big liberal thought policing.
That's just not how true reality works. People don't always agree with what you say, and you have to be prepared to handle contrasting opinions. That's why it seems like so many of the gen z's and youth now a'days start to go absolutely nuclear over simple stuff, because they've been thinking reddit debates are the norm for so long, they have no idea how to behave or adjust to the outside world. Like the spoiled kid who gets what they want from their parents, but don't get it from the cop gunna give them a speeding ticket. XD
Not only that, even redditors are getting tired of reddit, and I don't blame them. Everybody there is so rigid, stiff, and 'hollier than thou', it's almost like the people on that site aren't human beings.
It's all very eerie tbh. No wonder many on the site are depressed af, and boy do they sound like it too, in their typing. It is wild how they seem to also be anti anything religious, and even the religious reddit forums tend to act desensitized to everything, with many of them getting the bible or religion wrong, but still their posts will get upvotes, just because, you know, 'it falls in line with the circlejerk'
What's sad is that there really isn't anywhere else to go (you ain't gunna go to 4chan and like it. trust me.) This is because ever since 2020, people really stopped talking on the internet like they used to, they just don't talk whatsoever. XD
I can't get anybody to discuss anything, won't have a forum up, don't talk about a recent news article for critical discussion, and it is very possible to feel like you're the only person on the internet. This is where reddit shines where it has people who are at least willing to discuss topics. There are some that do a good job at fact checking, and then some that don't, and also others who do a very good job at pretending to have checked their sources.
All in all, reddit is a very depressing place that should be avoided, try not to get caught up in relying on that social media platform for anything other than being annoying.
Flooded with those kinds of people, they are the worst.
That's why reddit is so bad
here you can be banned, but on r/ you can freely discuss about those subjects
naa the other australian news moderator who came on later on shifts and who had been buddys with her on and off reddit had been identified along with afew others.
it's pretty much legitimate. i was her and her people. id say its the same on most forums online
