2. You're not breeding with the virtual waifus anyway.
Confirmation bias.
Horizon Zero Dawn?
You telling me she doesn't look nice?
Also thanks for indirectly reminding me that it's on sale on GOG right now.
But yeah, you're not breeding with Aloy anyway. She ain't real, whether or not you find her sexy.
Also, most people can handle looking at ugly things without gagging. Being able to do this seems to be a useful evolutionary trait, actually.
Yeah. She's really, really ugly. She kinda looks like the main actress from the handmaids tale. Solid 3/10. Never seen the series actually, just glanced at the promo material, before recoiling in revolt.
I have no romantic nor sexual interest in characters; fictional or otherwise. I prefer my characters in the media I consume, to be easy on the eyes. Not offensive!
Actually, people buy prints of a lot of stuff that's not classical. Banksy comes to mind, then there's the infamous Warhol collection.
Beauty is indeed in the eye of the beholder, everyone has their own preferences.
I'm sorry but your opinion does not equate to fact. Lots of people found Horizon Zero Dawn gorgeous, for example. You, do not.
That's solid proof right there, that beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
However I don't think I'mma sit here, and try to argue semantics with someone that has 0 games, and a username history such as yours. Lol
See you have no argument other than to do the reddit thing and snoop on people's personal pages. God I hate the reddit mentality, it's ruined public discourse.
Sometimes it suits the story to have unpleasant looking characters - like horror / scary games should have a hideous monster coming out to get you, rather than a hot beach babe (unless that's part of the story).
I guess it depends on the game, the dev, and the character story / background / needs
Declares their opinion as fact. Decries others as "reddit mentality".
How very reddit of you.
Like <Insert Kazoo Circus Music Here> already informed you, tons of people pay lots of good money for modern art. Your preferences are not universally shared.
Modern movies are not free from this evil. I refuse to watch 90% of modern movies and tv shows, solely because the actors they put into lead roles are either ugly or bland at best. Like how did ezra miller get the role of the flash? I felt like there was something seriously off about him, even before the latest accusations and videos came to light. Same with amy schumer. Unfunny pig faced comedian, who takes out her anger at being ugly, on the rest of the world. Or lena dunham. She's evil. There's a link with physical ugliness and mental ugliness. I find the most normal well adjusted people are usually those who are most naturally good looking.
@quint
Modern art is just garbage used to launder money. There is no artistic merit in an artist canning his own feces. Or an art student taking pictures of herself in costumes for her MFA thesis. I despise most contemporary artists because they cant paint, draw, sing or do anything that requires harmony and/or skill. I'm envious of those who can play instruments properly, because I cant. I gladly reward the subway musician with a 5 or 10 dollar bill, if I like their music. I dont drop a dime on some rejected soundcloud rapper putting his mixtape in my hand.
