Haven’t seen it but just didn’t like the style of what it seems like theyre going for. I feel like it’s doing what they did to Star Wars…take a classic series and devalue it. LotR was like one of the most innovative blockbusters of all time. I don’t think anyone ever really had a chance of recapturing that.

The new GoT is alright so far. It’s not S8 levels of badness. I think it has potential.

Make you OWN fantasy story and Do w/e the hell you want to it. Dont take a timeless classic literal piece of history and twist it all up to fit a narrative of modern political and societal ideals and issues.

1. Is there a correlation between Rotten Tomatoes and actual viewing? Or can anyone post onto Rotten Tomatoes regardless of whether they watched the show or not?

2. The books are still there. No one's changed the books. No one is subverting Tolkien's works. The shows and films don't change the books. The shows/films are just different interpretations of the text.
