Fair enough.
My point was, that depending on our subjective take here, the show might actually develop into something we/I might like, based on our bias.
I don´t actually think GCI is important at all, it is a "nice to have" in my world, but should never be the spectacle.
This just makes me nauseous.
So, they're throwing spit balls in the world series where the prize is recouping a billion monies...
Maybe for you.
My point was... if CGI isn't important and that's 95+% of the show's "quality" because the rest of it IS, poor acting, poor story line, poor characters, etc and isn't "quality" there's nothing TO develop into liking...
CGI spectacle is it's only "quality"... and even a vast majority of "positive" "reviews" agree.
I never said the majority of it was GCI however.
With that being said, if my interested is still not peaked after 4 episodes, its a goodbye.
I give most things a chance, if they are just remotely something I am interested in either lore, premise, genre.
Well the vast amount of CGI is there if you say it is or not...
As your right... no disagreement there
I don't need to see the product myself.. there was enough of a chance before it came out... that's what Trailers are for.
I can't help that they put enough in their trailer and interviews to tip their hand... that's on them.

Now compare that, to this: (should probably skip ahead to about 2:00)

Lol new drinking game, take a drink every time that troll is stabbed or shot, not even tiny slashes like with the ice troll but actually plunging a dagger/sword in as far as it will go.
Not to mention all of the times the fellowship uses the troll's strength and weapons to their advantage.
And, for bonus points, they also all get beaten and battered during the fight.
Now, the way i would make this scene, is have her run up to it (rather than jumping as that's dangerous and pointless, feinting one direction to get it to swing at her and miss, dodging the strike moving to the other side and stabbing it (maybe lighter or a deep slash since you wouldn't want the weapon to get stuck or something) move behind the troll and dodge as it most likely swings again, then slash the leg and jump it's back to it's neck and stab it (much like how Legolas shoots the elephant-thing whatever it was called and the troll) and then you get an cool scene with the troll falling face forwards with her on top, sword deep in the neck. Or something a little bit longer, maybe with Galadriel getting tossed for more narrative tension.
Either way, you get the point, it could be done better, and i'm not even a screen-writer.
Probably, based on their low birthrates and mass immigration into only their countries.
If you were to go to China and say there are too many Chinese they would be offended and kick you out.
If you were to go to the USA or Europe and say there are too many White people they would say, "Yes" and eliminate themselves so you could replace them.
You're not making any sense...
I got that beat. I got that beat...

Now ~ that's ~ a movie...
It'll be your huckleberry. :)
Trivia - "Hucklberry" = hucklebearer -> coffin bearer. is the evolution I heard for that phrase.
