Best non-isekai fantasy manga
Another manga genre post from me.

So I've been reading Witch Hat Atelier and I'm thinking it's the best fantasy manga I've read since Fullmetal Alchemist. Then I realize I haven't read too much other fantasy manga. Most of the fantasy stories I read are western novels.

So what's the best in the fantasy genre? I'm excluding isekai because I see that as its own thing and I've read a good bit of it (InuYasha is still the best).

So what ya got?

I took a chance with Frieren: Beyond Journey's End and it turned out to be really great. Well worth checking out if you're looking for something new to read.

I looked at that and it seems worthwhile. I'll give it a read soon.

As for my recommendation, I gotta say Witch Hat Atelier. Beautiful manga all around.

Such a classic. That was the second "girls' manga " I ever read because I dated a chick who was obsessed with them in the mid 00's. It really taught me that the demographic labels are meaningless.
