Ubisoft removing access to older Assassin creed games from peoples account (other games too)

Ubisoft finally did it!! The next step in gaming! They remove your access to play certain features you actually paid for. Reason is that their online-drm is going offline

Multiplayer function is deavctivated and the DLCs getting their access removed, means they cant be played anymore after the announced date on the shopsite (1. september)

The games were on sale during summer sale just to get a nice announcement a week later

Only a matter of time till other publishers will follow

There is an answer. Sh**post their accounts on social media. And more importantly, stop buying games from them.

at least I din't pay much for my copies of Assasin creed 2 and another one which I don't remember which one ... there was a store selling dvd-rom copies of older PC games a long time ago and I had 2 assasins creed together in the deal for 10 canadian dollars.

You can go for DRM free games.

Also, yeah, we are dependent on Valve treating their DRM with respect at a minimum.

Might have to look into fixing my Ubi$oft games myself.

I still have to find a way to fix Crysis: Warhead and Dead Space 2 because of EA's activation limit and them refusing to reset those for me.

Apparently it's DLC too, so potentially there could be huge chunks of games missing.
