baby chick
9/10 of the chicks are healthy but 1 can't walk well and is left behind

let nature take its course, help it, or you know..?

So, it may be possible to save its life by helping its legs/muscles grow correctly. It appears one of the most important things is traction, likely to give the chick the chance to work out muscles to help it rise and, thus, start developing healthier legs. Bracing appears to be a possibility, too.

Contact a veterinarian if you're willing to do a little work to help this chick.

Good decision!

It's not just that you're saving a newborn animal. Though, that's a nice thing too.

It's that you have now decided to take an action and you will never, ever, have to ever wonder what would have happened had you not taken this action.

That chick may die in a week, despite your best efforts. Or, maybe it survive to be strong and healthy? Either way, decades from now you can look back on this and know that you acted and do not have to have any regrets for not acting.
