It kinda depends.

I'm from the south, and I have a bit of a lisp. I try to spell things like they sound.

So, for example, I pronounce "surprise" as " su-prise", and I always forget the R. I can't really remember any other words I do this with off the top of my head, but there's definitely more.

Nobody can spell Massachusetts, not even people in Massachusetts, and it's not because they are stupid, it's because Massachusetts is impossible to spell!

Wow, I spelled it right the first time! Anyway - I always have to catch myself and double-check whenever I write that word. I don't know why... Somewhere in my brain hides "excersise" and it won't go away. /shrug
