Religious persecution in the U.S. - Roe overturned.
The US supreme court has overturned Roe vs Wade.

Can we start a massive Gofundme to help women move out of the states where sharia law is going to go into effect?

Does Gofundme allow things like that?

Can they get refugee status from the UN for persecution?

Utopia is great but even Star Trek universe has a lot of the problems mentioned in this thread. U.S have the constitution & that is a great defence against political corruption. You are really lucky to have that. Citizens of many other countries don't have their rights & political philosophy laid out in such a way.
The US is fragrant with political corruption.
And we have a constitution to weed it out, but we're so at war with eachother, those that NEED to go, simply stay and amass more power/money.

That's unfortunate & I hope it gets better because when you read the declaration of independence & the constitution, it sounds like people who hated political corruption.

Ever wonder why when you google domestic terrorism, a vast majority of it is right wing?

That;s an easy one: the lefties who control the media label everyone they don't like "terrorist" and "right wing" and "literal hitler" and a lot of other things -- so those claims will turn up in nice clusters.

Good ol' days the terrorist was supposed to blow up something or hijack a plane, now enough to make a selfie or just retweet a meme. but mass of people either don't see a difference or do, but deny it.

A lot of US founding 'immigrants' were trying to escape "religious persecution", when we founded the country.

Practically a lot of puritans who didn't want to adapt to changing times/laws, took their ball and left.

Much of which, was stuff like "I need to be able to keep marrying kids". Being religious refugees, that's one of the reasons why they were adamant the separation of church and state.

So if should public opinion sway against their "religious beliefs", they would still be able to practice legally.

Keep in mind, we did start as a British colony but we had no say on taxes of the goods being shipped to us, which is hugely part why we revolted.

so called "terrorism" has killed less than 100 people in the last 20 years. It's not a major issue problem.
So, proven wrong. Now it's a non-issue? C'mon, move the goalposts more.
No goal posts to move, you brought it up when you're first points was called out as a strawman.

Either way the point of all this is that Roe is gone and it's never coming back as it shouldn't because abortion is murder.
Honestly I feel this situation is a BIT overblown. There aren't TOO many states (only one that I know of) that would outright ban abortion and even then women voted for it (A fact people mysteriously forget is that women... aren't universally for abortion)... and even then it is a bus ride to your government subsidised abortion that chances are you won't even have to pay for. I wouldn't even be surprised if they end up subsidising the bus too.

It honestly feels like this would change absolutely NOTHING.

---

Now here is my controversial opinion. When it comes to SCOTUS I always side with the Conservatives when it comes to how their decisions should work which is that their job is to "uphold the constitution" and not "Reinterpret the constitution".

If you want federally mandated abortion minimums... Then the government should get off its butt and do something.

It shouldn't be up to SCOTUS to act counter to the constitution JUST because the government itself is broken.

TLDR: "Even if the constitution said we have to eat babies... Scotus should side with it. It is the government's job to create new laws not scotus."

Ever notice how the "anti abortion" states when mapped are the same ones with the most gun violence and school shootings?

Can you quote some numbers to support this? I'm pretty sure the deep blue areas lead in gun violence bigtime. Possibly Chicago alone produces more gunshot victims every day than red states in a month.

(Per 100,000)

1 Alaska 19.2
2 Louisiana 19
3 Mississippi 18.3
4 Alabama 16.9
5 Arkansas 16.6
6 Wyoming 16.2
7 Montana 16.1
8 New Mexico 16
9 Oklahoma 15.7
10 South Carolina 15.5
11 Missouri 15.3
12 Tennessee 15.2
13 Nevada 14.8
14 West Virginia 14.6
15 Kentucky 13.9
16 Georgia 13.7
17 Arizona 13.5
18 Idaho 13.2
19 Indiana 12.4

That's just liberal Democrats doing lefty cosplay. They don't care about you anymore than the other guys. It's one big corporate takeover of your government.
There is no "left" in this country. Everyone has flipped to the right. Liberals are pro-war, pro-police, pro-lockdown, pro-censorship. These are not leftwing anti-imperialist values. Certainly not "enlightened"

I'm shocked to hear about the reasons for separating church & state, I didn't know that. I think the colonies' reasons for revolting were correct but my covert reason for the post is that the rest of the western world needs the USA to get it's ♥♥♥♥ together and pronto :steamhappy: :104:

A thing to always remember is that it is FAR FAR harder to get the FBI to agree that a person was a left-wing terrorist... versus right-wing. (For example we have had an assassination attempt on a scotus justice... and the person's motives were considered a mystery)

It is why I don't put that much stalk into those statistics.

We're behind the progressive curve, I mean spousal rape wasn't even illegal in all states until the 90's iirc.

And that, I can accept. But dodging the topic altogether once statistics were posted otherwise, screams small ♥♥♥♥ energy.
