Any good rpgs for a mindless grind up for sale?
what i'm talking about is having fun mass killing/skilling in a game, and being rewarded, not just going from point a to b, and seeing if the 1 in a billion chance dropped, and repeating

Destiny 2 is the only thing like that that comes to my mind.

I had a few hundred hours on it and then it just got boring and pointless to me to be honest. However, it was pretty fun and satisfying, I ended up enjoying it much more than I expected to.

Your description reminded me of a raid that I went through like 15 times and finally got one of the best guns in the game, while some people went through it even 100 times without luck. It has a ton of killing (and I mean really a ton) and it's definitely mindless.

If you don't mind dead MMOs Ragnarok Online had legendary grinding.
Guild Wars 1 had really good grinding too, you'd find a build for a map route and just run circuits then rezone.

This is right up your wheelhouse. Or maybe not.

It's free so I qualify it as "good". However I myself uninstalled it after hitting level 56 ish. Too much of the same and too much to do.

The best I can think of is Streets of Rogue. Really fun game. Basically a top down action rouge-like/bullet hell + grand theft auto without cars.

It's not that mindless but there is a lot of killing, it's fun, there is strategy if you wanna try tackling problems in a unique way, and it's $4.99 right now.

I guess monster hunter fits. Basically for me the perfect kill, make better gear, repeat cycle overall.

i'm waiting on that to get the korean item rates, as of now its pay to win due to the wests ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, while in korea you never really have to pay the content is spaced out in a way that free to play can do the same content as paying...

monster hunter would be great, but I honestly cant stand the way monster hunter feels to play, I prefer almost all the derivative games to it, kind of like how gta4 was a great idea, but saints row 1/2 was a game that was actually fun to play mechanically, I will also argue saints row 1/2 over gta5 to some degree, for me after san andreas, they added so much in between animations for any action that the game feels laggy an unresponsive, first person kind of fixes it but its not ideal. I forget what place did the tests, but red dead has something like 60-180ms of animation enforced lag between any action you do showing results on screen... it makes the game look more realistic, but to me it just feels horrible.

for a good example of what i'm thinking of, look at the game "3079 - block action rpg"
Its near perfect for what I want, I never fully tested it but it seems like you could just grind infinitely, however the grind is purely linear, so it takes almost all the joy out of the grind at some point

Sure I'll try it and see what game is similar to it. Cheaper than a bottle of water and only few MB so why not.

I honestly consider this game to be near perfect if not for the complete linear nature of it, once you hit that its like of same ol same ol and looses much of what made me play it. it needs some element of quality or rng, its sequal while an upgrade, never really clicked with me

Been playing the heck out of Children of Morta the last few days. Very fun action rogue-lite.

If action RPGs are an option, I suggest Grim Dawn. The base game has a decently long main questline, six classes, allows multi-classing, has multiple hubs with randomly generated quests which are accessible both during the main story and after you complete it. The expansions increase the level cap and add more story content as well as two player classes.

Edit: It also offers a variety of difficulties, but like Diablo, they have to be unlocked by completing the previous difficulty level.

Grim Dawn FTW. Also after you sink 1000 hours into it, you can refresh the experience with the Dawn of Masteries mod (available at Nexus), which contains a metric butt-ton of classes from Diablo 1,2,3, Titan Quest, and original class packs.
I would look up on gog they have a pretty good amount of rpgs. Pathfinder series is great or baldurs gate 3.
