Some awesome music listed in this thread :Rockout:

Some different bands.....

Grip Inc.
Tool
Suicidal Tendencies
Pantera
Tiamat
Alestorm
Stone Sour
Rage Against The Machine
System Of A Down
Sepultura
L7
Jinjer
Biohazard

....bit of a range there - ofc plenty more, too many for one post...

But this thread has heaps to start with - enjoy! :Rockout:
Im not sure if I am looking stupid here because I haven't really read this thread but stone sour is rock bot metal, still really cool and worth a check though.

My favourite bands would be Slipknot (can't explain), Whispered (Samurai Melodic Death Metal), Fear, and loathing in las vegas (electronicore) and Korn (nu metal).

Yeah - I was avoiding getting too caught up in subjectively specific sub-sub-sub genres - also wanted to give the OP a range, seeing how tastes vary - however, Stone Sour - check out "30-30-150," that's pretty metal :)

EDIT - for myself, good music is good music, too much classifying genres just divides and gets a bit convoluted for me - but I understand it can help for others so if Stone Sour is "Rock Bot Metal" (I never even heard of that one) then so be it, all good :)

Good selection you added, btw :Rockout:

Aight, I apologise and agree there are too many sub genres, it kinda frustrates me when metal elitests pick on stuff like nu-metal, I mean as you said good music is good music.
Also on a side note bot was meant to be not (hate typing on phone XD) but I would love to see what someone could do with "rock bot metal" :D

How he can play and sing something like "Poison was the Cure" is just insanity. Mustaine is super talented.

I'll never forget, me and a few friends were in a camping tent that we had set up in our back yard in the suburbs north of Chicago. We had a record player and speakers inside the tent. I still remember that evening; it was dark outside and one of my friends came over with an album by Black Sabbath. I think we were listening to "Sugar Sugar" by the Archies at the time. I can't recall if we were dancing, so don't ask. Anyway, we all listened to a song called "Sweet Leaf" and we were blown away.

Knowing what I know now, this band was far ahead of its time. This was the birth of metal, kids.
