Unpopular opinion: the Navi from the Avatar movie don’t deserve rights
I understand colonialism is bad and all but this is a different case.
Treating humans like animals bad
Testing Navi “people” who are not humans like animals: makes sense

The disabled guy is a traitor to human kind and our development. How dare he defend aliens and not let us grow as a species? What have the aliens done for him? If he broke his leg as one of them blue monkeys he would have been sacrificed or euthanized because he is no use to them. In such primitive “society” they can’t afford to help disabled people. He should be more grateful!

I hope avatar 2 ends with extracting all the valuable minerals and nuking that planet for good so they don’t develop and seek vengeance. Not that they will ever achieve what humans achieved.

Also by shifting all our racial hatred on them racism on earth would be solved at last

You have way too much free time.
I've still never watched that movie. James Cameron said it was representing Alberta and the oil sands and their treatment of indigenous, before he went there.

Give him credit he went and toured the oil sands, and changed his mind saying he didn't realize the amount of environmental restoration, how prosperous the natives who had land nearby were (richest natives in North America), or how the oil sands were a natural occurring phenomenon of oil leaking out of the hills and into the rivers on their own, since the place was first discovered, and the development actually cleans it up and restores the land.

Still, the movies were planned for a trilogy so he's gotta milk it for all he can.

Yeah, at first I was disgruntled with the themes of the Movie and how James Cameron could attempt to portray Humans(aka 'Murica) in the movie. However once he actually toured there and made that statement... I cut him a lot of slack. Takes some integrity to actually announce how what you thought was wrong/misunderstood.

That being said, I do agree with OP's sentiment that main character betrayed the Human Race. Must be nice having a magic tree magic your brain into another body so you can get at that Furry lovin'. Granted I totally agree the Military handled the Navi completely wrong, would have been much better had they treated them more akin to people than savages/animals. You catch more flys with honey and all that. Though I still thought it rather absurd this highly advanced human race complete with powered exoskeleton war machines can't even subjugate some magic tree people... My friend compared it to "Master Chief losing to Jar Jar Binks" lol.
they are called navi
they are blue
fi is blue too
fi is a wannabe navi

coincidence ?

They built hospitals and schools for them and what did they do in return?attack the humans and then play the victim when we rekt their blue butts. We have the ability to kill every single of them but we didn't.
