Why?
The Baconator is good eatin'
Wendy's nuts smack you in the face.
its bowel cancer in a bread bun.
But wait there’s more...
Put it on a toy Steampunk boat that has a straw as a smoke stack, and float it on top a frosty in a container shaped like a river. Put fried pickles and breaded mushrooms on the boat in place of people. Put onion rings around a second smoke stack (that isn’t a straw). And go on a quest down the river to retrieve the cookies from the wreckage of the french fry boat that’s still floating in the river, before it sinks.
wendy's have tried for years to enter the dutch market.. but failed... funny story..
-in like the 70s.. wendy's did registate the wendy's brand name in the netherlands.. but never opened a store.. so after a decade orso.. they let their licence expire..
-somewhere in the 80s a dude with a daughter named wendy, in the netherlands opened a single snackbar called wendy's.... and that name was free..
-in the 90s or 00s.. wendy's wanted to start opening shops in europe.. but discovered they could not register the wendy's name in the netherlands, due it already excisting here...
and while multiple shops under the same name can be entered in the compagny register.. they may NOT if they operate in the same branch.. and since they both operate in fastfood they were out of luck
***wendy's tried buying the licence of this 1 man.. but he refused... he don't care for the millions offered.. and he hates big chains..
***wendy's sued many times.. every time they lost.... as this man is totally legaly entitled to the wendy's name in the netherlands and since he named his show after his own daughter.. wendy's claim he just took the name to mess them up (what would be against the law I cannot just open wendy's.eu to than later sell it to them at a profit.. thats deemed illigal brand occupation)
***the last time they tried by saying but we are a chain of foodstores.. he is a single shop.. different so perhaps we can open a chain under our name.. is that different enough to register?
no said the judge, so wendy's applied for higher court...
***
than the man of the one shop.. opened a second snackbar nearby where his original one was... now he too is a chain... and while clearly by now he is just trolling wendy's at this point.. he is within his rights..
***wendy's should best just open a chain in the netherlands under a different name;)
now what I would like is a chain that upped the game..
no burgers.. but true meat.. aka steaks of cow, ostrich, deer, horse, pork, etc,, you pick the annimal you want.. they toss it in a skilled for a few minutes.. toss it on a bun.. and hand it too you..
fast food but than of quality;)
So far as the name thing in the Netherlands, we get a lot of that here in the States too. That's why some states here have Hardees and Waffle House while others have Carl Jr's and Huddle House.
Dave's is probably too generic, but they could go with Dave's way.
Had a ring to it...
There's probably already a Dave's somewhere anyway but they could fall back on that, or like you said, Dave's Burgers or something, lol.
