Irish accents aren't that hard for me, same with a lot of accents.

The only ones I truly struggle with are various scottish accents and the most intense of bayou louisiana accents

Predictably I can understand every possible Scottish accent, and every Irish accent, though if it's thick with dialect I'm screwed and if they're from Cork or Limerick I'm going to be pushing sharp objects into my ears to make it stop

Irish isn't too bad. Scottish however can be really difficult to comprehend at times. I've watched a lot of Limmy's skits and a lot of the time I can't tell if they're speaking English or a separate language entirely.

I grew up in England so I can pretty much understand all English dialects and accents around the world. The Scottish is by far the hardest to understand, probably next to Jamaican Patwa but I can make out probably 85% of whatever they're saying.
