What's your favorite alien trope?

I like the trope where aliens are helpless without use of deadly war machine armor. Such as the daleks of Doctor Who or the Martians of War of The Worlds.

My favorite isn't really a trope exactly but comes from the Netflix original Extinction.

The aliens turn out to be humans and the humans turn out to be robots.

Abducting cows. It's just such an absurd scenario that it's funny to me.

Aliens come and invade our planet, not for our resources, not for expanding their own territory, not for enslaving us, but for our cows specifically and nothing else.
Like dang, they must know something really important about cows that we don't.

I always assumed they just picked up the first animal they saw, which since they also for some reason always hang out around farms, has a pretty good chance of being a cow.

But an alternate explanation is they have cattle on their planet but they ate them into extinction and crave more.
