So many games have demos now!
Was there some change that caused this new flux or am I just coming across specific titles that have them and getting the classic Selection Bias impression?

In the old days, yes I said it, demos were everywhere, and we loved them.
Gaming mags usually came with CDs loaded with demos. I probably got half of my games after playing those. Commandos and TR for sure.

back in the days all games had a demo version.

lol I thought shareware games was supposed to be shared, which was really hard cause we the only one with a pc in the street so I had no clue who to share with and then I figured out I could use it alone too.
