Why do some Metal heads hate Slipknot?
I don't like them just because of their sound, but it seems like a lot of metal heads hate them for different reasons.

- Overrated
- Corey Taylor speaks too much and somewhat biased because he talks about how Hip Hop and mainstream music ruins "everything" (he's not wrong), yet he sold out
- Lousy Nu/Alternative Metal (there are much better bands than them)
- Popularity doesn't equal quality

Because most of their songs aren't really that good.

Because of a severe dip in quality after Iowa. Their self titled album and Iowa are damn good albums, they peaked early. They had a hectic, somewhat raw tone in their debut album and despite Iowa playing it just a little safer, it was a good follow up. But everything after that was just boring, nothing has matched the energy they had at the beginning. Granted, Custer, The Negative One and Sarcastrophe seemed like a return to form, but the rest of The Gray Chapter was dull in comparison.

I liked a couple of their songs and tried checking out their other songs but a lot of them just aren't to my taste.

What's your opinion of Epica, Within Temptation, Nightwish, and Septicflesh?
Never heard of them except Epica (since they covered "Attack of Titans" theme) and briefly googled the rest.
I need to make the yt playlist for their works (and buy some soundtracks if available in Japan), thanks man.
