is it worth to watch the simpsons , and if yes , should i watch all episodes or only certain ones

i heard the show currently isnt as good as it used to be in the first couple of seasons , i honestly never watched much of the simpsons , at most a random episode i saw on tv

so , should i watch all of the first 7-8 seasons episodes or just certain ones ?

Don't know about the show, but Simpsons movie was actually pretty good and i could easily recommend it.

I watch a lot of simpsons (as you can tell by my profile picture), if you want to watch simpsons just watch the first 8 seasons, almost all episodes are good in those seasons.

Seasons 1-8 were all pretty good. The Simpsons went downhill after that. "The Principal and the Pauper" is widely regarded as the episode that killed this show.

heard about that episode in the "fall of the simpsons" video
from what i remember from that video , basically they first built up a character and later just said "he never was the guy you thought he was" right ? ( like if southpark suddenly came out and said kenny was never the poorest child in the child , and he actually always was rich and all the other things that make kenny kenny arent real)

Stay away from the stuff made this century. They ditched story telling in favour celebrity appearances and having Homer doing ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ for no reason.

Wouldn't recommend it really. Sure, some episodes can be fun but I actually don't know a single person that ever binge-watched that show from start to finish. It's just that it has almost no storyline whatsoever. It can give you a good laugh here and there but won't catch you I'm pretty sure.

i honestly just want something to watch while playing games and most subbed anime kinda require more attention , tried it with kill la kill (edit and detective conan , thats just impossible , i completely miss the evidence if i dont pay attention to the subbed episodes ) and even there i had to jump back a few times because i missed something and was like "what just happened" , things i watch in german or english are fine without them being the main focus since i can just listen to the show when i have to focus on the game , but honestly southpark with its 283 episodes ( i have seen all except for season 21 and 22) is getting repetetive (especially since theres a couple of great episodes and alot okay ones but also many bad ones

meanwhile the good seasons of simpsons would be 178 episodes ( if i counted right) i havent seen yet , thats 65 hours, could finish quite a few shorter games while watching it

currently watching the episode "bart sells his soul" , really funny , playing games while watching simpsons will be fun for sure , and its something else than just rewatching naruto and fairy tail (especially since i just recently rewatched classic naruto(without fillers ) and even thought about watching it with fillers once so i have more hours of content while watching something
