Both are critically acclaimed while both are different from earlier titles of the franchise series.

Final Fantasy XV emphasizes cinematic scenes and dialogue with action combat that is not similar to the earlier turn based or traditional JRPG titles of old. The art style is modern day with fantasy aspects, it is different to other Final Fantasy titles with that regard.

GTA V . 15 has officially been cancelled by square enix , no more dlc no more bugfixes , no more modding tool

and the game honestly is the worst FF by far , empty open world and nothing to do

I wouldn't call GtaV a good game, but I'd recommend it over any Final Fantasy game.

I'd recommend neither. GTA V isn't exactly a good GTA game. Just beat 4 again and the campaign is severely better.
