someday these gpu will have their own power supply instead of using the same power supply that make the rest of the computer run.
Probably a unnecesary uppgrade if youhave uppgrading from 3000 series, while those who are still stuck on 1000 or 2000 may benafit it more. but as a outright scam nah
That the RTX 4080/90 run games without DLSS on 20fps is bold of them to show.
You don't have to buy one then.
Maybe a power adaptor which connects straight to a power board, but yeah, computers might start to get wacky one day.
I'll check the specs and buy one.
I think rather we would push the PSUs to the limit, I've seen some epic 2500W PSUs on Aliexpress, now obviously these were some massive fire hazard but the fact that a PSU that can technically get so much power says a lot about future
It's obvious Nvidia thinks they're untouchable, even after losing all that money on ARM and also at the foundries for this upcoming gen. What a horrible company who's raging fanboys are a stain on the tech industry.
Besides, when it comes to processing power, an RTX 3080 boasts plenty and has 16 gigs of VRAM also. Even if I where in the market, why would I choose a next-gen card that doesn't even have that much more to offer over a current one, as I'm mostly interested in loading more stuff into my GPU's VRAM rather than raw processing power. (Maybe I'm odd?)
This is especially true when looking at the prices of these things and the power they draw.
Nvidias craptastic marketing, them touting Meta, their bs product lineup and their half-arsed approach on open-sourcing their software increasingly turns me away from them.
I'm not currently in the market for a GPU, but next time, I will be considering AMD (or even Intel) first.
-a passive cooled gpu is nice for a fully passive pc (even if not the main it is a nice gimmick)
that after the kalmX 1650 never a better passive cooled gpu was made is a sad situation and a gap in current line ups.
as an owner of two 2080ti's in sli... I aint amused by the DLSS 3.0 trick played here....
Jensen already has the jacket... A motorcycle, ramp, and shark tank are being hinted at slightly off screen.
Since iGPUs have become quite powerful in their own right, I think they've superseded this category.
SoCs suck though. With them, if one wants to have a new GPU, the CPU would have to be replaced as well. That's dumb!
Some self restraint can go a long way in life.
