Young people and old movies

Why do young people hate old movies so much? Trying to get my teenage kids to watch a movie that is older then 1990 is like pulling teeth. I have to practically strap them to the couch and force them to watch it. What kid literally needs to be forced to watch the original star wars trilogy, or the wizard of oz? If the movie is black and white then you can forget it. I could put a gun to their heads and they still wouldn't watch it.

Have you ever watched the original total recall? Its 100% better than the trash 2012 version. And alot of old movies have been digitally enhanced to remove 'static'

I have seen it, was kinda creepy. I think Ex Machina did it better with little more subtlety.
