why did this make me laugh so hard? its very normal and healthy to fart but yet there is a huge taboo and people lose respect and get ostriched by community for farting?

if my boss would let a loud fart in his car i would subconsciously lose respect for him, why?

any psychologics here?

Let me guess.. you hold it in? Its not very healthy and its a natural thing. One thing is also sure, you don't have kids, if you had, you would have been happy about farting when they were little.

This is a good example about how the avarage human brain works, when something is popular to say, it adopts it to be part of the group, its often a strategy against insecurity.

I disagre that it has anything to do with people being a "dad" or older or what connection you are trying to mke here.


The even more fun part is that all people smell their own farts even when not aware and often also people they are intimate with. People in general do stuff they don't have control.. If any of you are a parent, then I also guarentie, that you have smelled the hair (head) of your kid(s) from time to time.. Look at other primates in nature and see the same happen..

It is funny for him, becuase he is a teen. That is alright tbh, nothing wrong with that. Infact its a natural to have that opinion in his age. That is also why "male" teens fart together etc.. He is learning about the world atm, about his body and emotions.

I most certainly hope not. (In fact I know I am not) A very large porportion of steam users are in the 30-50 age range and have job, family, etc. I've personally played with people over 60 here on steam as well.
