Winning a fight against an aggressive dog is to survive. It is not with this kind of things that one can transcend simple survival. I don't care about survival if life itself is so shallow and empty that it does not matter at all if one survives or not. Guess what? Humans are particularly good in finding and creating things and thoughts that let them transcend bare survival and make their life more worth of being lived.
